BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Sabres forward Thomas Vanek will be out for what coach Lindy Ruff termed as "weeks" after sustaining an upper body injury in a 6-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Without providing the exact nature of the injury, Ruff said following the game Tuesday that Vanek will "miss some time," before adding that it's going to be weeks and not days.

those are the only two forwards Mair has been ready since the second game coming off hip surgury, Paille has been a healthy scratch.

and you don't call up Gerbe from Portland not just yet!

EDIT: Upon further review, it may be an elbow/shoulder from contact with the ice :sadwalk:

think i heard he was already playing hurt, but that play made it worse.
