do we have shot at any coach who walked away after winning the superbowl in his last go round? cause anything other than winning the superbowl is failure.

I'd love this move! It gets rid of Jauron, Modrak and Guy! We can't lose!

I have no faith in Ralph that we are gonna do the right thing about our next HC. I do think he'll get rid of Trickie Dick, but his replacement will be within house or a cheap replacement who is just as bad. Hate to be so negative, but I think we all have reason to be.

I think I remember him having to give up his GM duties to stay on with the team. He is a good coach though.

see this article about Holmgren as a GM.

I don't think he's great at that.... as a coach i'd loev him... as a GM... not so sure.

Out of all the "big name" guys, Holmgren was the one I wanted the least.

But after reading this rumor, I started thinking about it, and I'm coming around.

He's been to superbowls with 3 different teams, all of which had great offenses (he was the QB Coach, then the OC in San Fran, before HC in Green Bay and Seattle). He made pro-bowlers out of Hasselbeck and Shawn Alexander. He's always had decent defenses and good OLines. It appears that he knows what it takes to assemble a winning football team.

If he says he'll come here if he's given full control of football operations, I say give it to him.

I signed .... Holmgren or Cowher or a couple others would work for me... I basically just want to put pressure on Ralph to do us right for once

If I had to choose between Holmgren and Jauron, then Holmgren all day.

But Holmgren failed miserably as a GM/Coach. We don't need that in Buffalo. If he wants to step in as just HC, then fine.

Otherwise I'd rather make another choice in HC that ride higher on my list.

look everyone, I addressed the fact that Mike Holmgren wasn't a perfect coach or GM in the petition. He's old and wise, he knows he's not perfect.

Bill Parcells doesn't try to be perfect. He knows what he wants done, knows his role, and executes. That's what I want the Big Show to do in Buffalo.

Just sign my petition people!

He didn't fail miserably. The guy had 3 losing seasons in 10 years at Seattle. He just didn't win the superbowl. Failing miserably means he complies a Jauron record over a 4 year span.
