Traffic agent could have avoided being hit by Randy Moss, lawyers say

The attorneys for Minnesota Vikings star receiver Randy Moss said in court papers filed Tuesday that a Minneapolis traffic control agent could have avoided being knocked down by his car.

Filed in Hennepin County District Court, the response to a lawsuit filed against Moss last month said any injuries or damages suffered by Amy E. Zaccardi last Sept. 24 "were the direct result of [her] own negligence and not otherwise."

Moss' attorney, Emilio Giuliani, said Tuesday that "it would be premature to make any further comments at this time. The case should be tried in a court of a law, and our interest is to not try it anywhere else."
