May 28, 2003 -- The Giants' mandatory veteran mini-camp starts Monday and a slimmer, better-conditioned Ron Dayne - who has been gone but not forgotten this offseason - is expected to attend.
"I don't see any reason why he shouldn't," Dayne's agent, Terry Lavenstein, said yesterday.
The disgruntled running back has been a no-show for the entire off-season workout program, the only player without a legitimate excuse who has not made a single appearance at Giants Stadium.
