Bills dumping the no-huddle offense

Posted by Mike Florio on October 14, 2009 4:44 PM ET

The Bills entered the season running the no-huddle offense as their base attack.

Receiver Terrell Owens didn't like it (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/09/to-doesnt-like-the-no-huddle-jabs-patriots/), but in the end he simply runs the plays that are called.

Rosenthal recently pointed out that he doesn't like it (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/10/no-huddle-offense-is-not-helping-bills-defense/), either.

And now coach Dick Jauron has decided that he doesn't like it, either.

Per a league source, the no-huddle offense is being scuttled, and the team will be overhauling its attack going forward.

Whether it's enough to turn things around for the 1-4 Bills remains to be seen.

Maybe, just maybe, this will cut down on the false start penalties. I can see the huddle now:

Edwards: OK, guys, I'm going to hike it on after the count of three, unless I'm not ready.
Bell: Gotcha, it goes one, three, hike, right?
Edwards: Sure, whatever. Let's go with it. OK, break!

They're finally moving to the "take your time" 3 and out?

Maybe this will slow the game down for Edwards. Oh wait, he can't throw deep anyways, the huddle will have no effect on his inability to throw beyond 10 yards. Fantastic. We still suck.

Like I've liked to call it..."the no-hustle" offense is dead!

Edwards had better not be in that huddle...

He will...it's seems that he and Dickey are really close...Dickey would never bench his buddy!
