Fail.

The season is over already. We either get something for the future by getting rid of owens now (since he's rarely used anyway) or we let him go at the end of this year for NOTHING.

If this doesn't illustrate my point about Wilson and the organization perfectly nothing does. The Ravens need him to win a superbowl. We need him to maybe win another game this season. This could turn into a great player for years to come as a first round pick in the next draft and we say not citing "ticket sales have spiked" as the reason. How rediculously stupid can an organization be? Do they really think they are going to keep selling more tickets with the team in the situation it is? If this is their pathetic cause they ought to be sitting at the table with TO locking him up for a few more years but he's not going to play on a team that is a joke the man wants a ring and he deserves one.

We can bring in a token player or make a token move to do some marketing but can't make a commitment to the entire team to be successful on the football field. It stinks of "we think the public is stupid".

if they want him make them pay. At least listen to what they have to say don't hang up because of a marketing ploy.

They were probably low-balling the Bills. Probably offered a 6th or something. The season isn't over yet. If this ship is going to sink lets go out fighting! GO BILLS:err:

We would never get a 1st rounder for Owens...maybe a 4 or 5

Once again how do you know they didnt listen?? maybe the offer wasnt good enough to compensate for the sell outs??? Maybe just maybe .

We suspect the Ravens presented a lowball offer, and the Bills turned it down.

Nothing less than 2nd unless it is a 3rd and 5th

I think this means essentially that the Bills have not made the decision yet to dump Jauron. That doesn't mean they won't, but if they had made the trade, it would have meant that Jauron had already been stripped of any personnel decision making input in the organization. Jauron has to know he's a long shot at best to be retained by the Bills. His only shot to stick necessitates that he keep Owens.

i think if the offense is inept today and T.O. doesn't have a good game, they should just trade him anyways. if somebody offers a low pick, counter by asking for another one. something is better than nothing.

I dont think Ozzie Newsome has kept the Ravens so good for so long by giving up 1st rounders for 36 year old WR's who called him racist.

I'm sure it was a "Hey Russ, you can save about 4 mill in money if you give us TO for a 6th rounder"

I'm sure it'll be a deal once Ralph sees those $$ signs.

if the bills were serious about putting a winning product on the field, they would trade Owens for whatever, get rid of roscoe for whatever, and bring in a real GM for next year and be like, "look we havea boatload of picks...you make the call. we have a lot of spaces that can get upgraded or fortified. do your thing. Oh, and pick whatever coach you like."

There is no excuse not to move some of the talent who isn't going to be part of the core to succeed in the future years.

LOL....

Wouldn't that just make too much sense for the Bills though?

something like:

1- Fire Jauron. Name an interim HC. Show the fans you care.
2- Trade what you can for picks.
3- At the end of the year you hire a GOOD GM or GM/Coach. Brandon goes back to marketing ONLY, which he's good at. GUY is dead man walking. Modrak can possibly remain as a college scout if the new guy is ok with him.
4- If GM isn't the coach, then have them hire a GOOD HC and staff even if it's expensive.
5- Let them work hard in FA and the draft and turn it around quick.

You get what you pay for. use your cap space and hire good football people and this team can be in the playoffs very quickly.

i think they should be announcing a new GM hire sooner than later. so that we give that guy all the time he can to scout. there is a ton of work needed. every single position but PUNTER can be upgrade. you could draft a guy at NT to help stroud and williams. You could take a WR, you could take a QB...etc.

You need to get more people in here and if a GM wants a chance to be successful early, he'll gladly take picks.

I hope they get rid of both Owens AND Roscoe. We need more picks!

And a new GM and coach to make them.

They should offload any players they know won't be here next seaosn before the trade deadline and start stock piling hte picks

TO should be traded, but that would mean the FO gets to wear more egg on their face. They did sell lots of seats after they signed him... and the FO doesn't want to disspoint those fans The other 50K fans who bought tickets before TO or not because of TO don't matter

Even an ineffective TO, Allows Evans to get single coverage. That alone is worth more than a 4th or 5th.
