Why did it take so long to change blocking schemes?

The zone blocking scheme for pass plays worked very well yesterday. Why the F did it take so long to do it?

I missed the game to the point where Trent got hurt, how did he look behind that blocking? Did he throw down field early?

I dont recall us really zone blocking for Trent. I dont believe Trent attempted a pass over 10 yards.

So, they switched when Fitz came in? Interesting.

Don't know if it was bc of Fitz or if it was designed to try and mess with the Jets D and catch them off guard which it appeared to do.

I thought it worked very well. Running wise, I don't know if they did the same, but in pass protection, that worked ingeniously well, and it's a fairly simple scheme too.

Running wise, we have to find something to do because its just sad out there. I dont know the stats off hand but we can't be very high in rushing.

The rushing attack was horrible. When Fouts was spouting off about "This reminds me of how Miami manhandled the Jets on Monday Night" I nearly choked.

I think that was after a decent 6 or 7 yard run by Jackson and I just laughed. The annoucers were horrible yesterday.

Most teams make halftime adjustments. It takes us 5 games.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
