Notice how his knees were on the turf, then he was forcibly thrown backwards (with the defender pushing on his head)... I thought the league was oh-so-concerned about it's quarterbacks getting injured?

Btw, I don't see how Trent gets a concussion on that play.. it wasn't a hard hit, just a malicious pushing/twisting of this helmet.

His head was sandwiched between the turf and Harris, wasn't it?

IMO the FO should at least send film into the league office.

The forehead pad is hard in football helmets. maybe it jammed into the top of his head. Plus its hits to the chin and jaw that really cause concussions. maybe his jaw clanged together hard on the play. :idunno: wonder if he was wearing a mouth guard...

Onl the 5th thread on this now...

Still not a penalty, fine or suspension worthy.

Sorry, not funny the 10th time...It was only the 6thish, and there is more where that came from!

He still had the football.

You are allowed to finish the play when the player has the ball in his hand.

Hence why no flag.

I certainly don't think the Jets player had to do what he did, but I don't see disciplinary action happening as a result.

Exactly. Had to be a chin shot that made an unwanted bite, pure shock to the brain.

Concussions suck, I've had 3, they're nothing to be messed with.

Not when he's already DOWN, no.

i'd have been happy with just the 15 yard penalty. it wasn't suspension worthy.

His knees were down, the play is over. we've seen a lot less get the hanky this year when you touch a QB.

Yea, it was not worthy of a suspension but definitely the penalty. The thing is that there has been a precedence set in the league to do everything possible to protect the qb, there was no attempt made to do so on this play. The refs are watching the qb there is no way they can miss his knees being down on this play.

Edwards should be suspended if anything. We often forget that this is FOOTBALL...a mans game for christ sake.

Checkwards is a total vagina.
