The Bills should trade for Glenn Dorsey

He is on the block. He is being shipped off because he "doesn't fit the 3-4". Stroud is older, and we are having some injury issues. McCargo is pretty much done in Buffalo. Why not? The upside is great.

Also, we worked out a bum at DT today. Why not give a 2nd or 3rd for a top 5 pick who isnt fitting in? Hell, send them Parrish and a 5th.

No, he's being shipped because he's been a giant bust. Glenn Dorsey PLAYED in a 3-4 in college. doesn't fit a 3-4? That's pretty funny. He's got the size and ability to be an ideal 5 technique end.

The guy doesn't work hard. and can't get off the bench.

we're talking about a guy with 68 tackles and one sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass batted down in his career (no fumbles recovered)

at this point I think the risks out weigh the rewards in this situation.

Dorsey could be a game changer. The 4-3 can be a good defense when there is pressure. GO GET HIM!

Playing 3-4 in the NFL is different than in college. Some NTs in college turn into 3-techniques in the NFL.

lets put it this way. the guy could easily play 3-4 end.. that's his position now. In college he played as a 2 gap NT for LA... he did nothing for the chiefs his rookie year as a 1 gap 4-3 DT for the chiefs last year... (which is what he'd have to be for the bills), worse.. since we no longer use a 3 technique DT, he'd probably be stuck on the bench again as he probably can't play straight up 1 gap DT.

The chiefs moved him to the 5 technique... which is mostly a 2 gap position in the 3-4, which he should have thrived at and he's not doing that.

i think it's a little early for the chiefs to try to dump him, but look at it this way. This guy is a 5th overall pick in his 2nd NFL season, and the chiefs are trying to cut ties. That should tell you all you need to know. Even the packers didn't try to dump Tony Mandarich that fast.

Dorsey is 6'1 297... He is absolutely NOT a fit as a 5-technique DE. A 5-tech is usually a tall player. He is also too light for NT.

He was mainly a penetrator at LSU in a 4-3 not a 3-4. This guy can be a player with another team.
