Was Trent doing well before he went out?

Sure he was 5/5. I won't lie to you, I didn't start watching until he was already injured. Was the "huddling up" making his job easier? Did he make some good throws? Did he throw over five yards? Or was it more of the same?

Here's the play by play, but I would like your opinions from actually observing.

Missed the whole first drive because of the Vikings-Ravens game on CBS ... which undoubtedly was more entertaining

IMO, he looked better. He still had check-itis, but he made his progressions a little slower.

So, nine yard pass to Lynch. Probably Lynch ran for the nine.

12 yard pass to Evans. But, was it really 12 yards through the air?

          7 yard pass to Evans.

          6 yard pass to Owens

3 yard pass to Nelson (called back due to a penalty.)

pass deep to Owens incomplete, called back due to penalty. HOW DEEP!!??

          Nine yard pass to Nelson

          Sacked.

          Well?

yep, two of the 5 completions were checkdowns. the other 3 weren't spectacular passes.

i think trent usually opens games with fairly decent stats. Its as the game wears on that defenses take away the 3 things he's looking for where you either see if he's got it or if he doesn't have it. he left pretty early to tell if you were getting a trent from old performance or another maddening short checks 3rd and short, penalty, 3rd and long and not even throw for the sticks performance.
