Remembering how useful the USFL was to Buffalo

Remembering how useful the USFL was to Buffalo
If not for the USFL's creation and quick demise, Buffalo Bills fans almost certainly wouldn't have experienced those incandescent days of four straight Super Bowls and Hall of Fame thrills.

there was a thing on OTL yesterday about Jim Kelly and the USFL. He threw for 44 td's in one season! rediculous!

he was also their league mvp and threw for like 5000 yards. it was like backyard football. kelly truly was the man. i wish we could have gotten his ass just one ring!!

It was on "30 for 30" and it was a good show.

Awesome program. Wish there was another football league still so I could watch it all year long.

Kellys totals were elevated mainly due to the offense they used in Houston. Mouse Davis was the offensive coordinator and his Run and shoot offense was a Pass first type of offense. Fun times !

If I remember correctly, Kelly was also sacked 70+ times in a single season. And it wasn't because he held on to the ball too long.

            Fun games to watch.

As good as Kelly was getting us to the Super Bowls he can also be blamed for many of our losses. As he was just plain horrible in most of his Super Bowl appearances.
