All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I hope he does well just for the sake of ending the Edward's era. I thought there would be an argument for him getting another season behind a healthy, solid line. But his mechanics are awful this year. He goes through his reads way too quick. He literally is, "Captain Checkdown". I don't think he will snap out of it. The kid has enormous potential. He is getting in his own way. Losman anyone?
At least with Losman there was big play potential. Not by any means would I want Losman to be a Bill again, but Trent is clearly not the solution.
He may be one of the best backup QBs in the league, but he is not a franchise QB. And that is what the Bills need.
And even through the 5-1 start, he wasn't spectacular. He showed alot of poise and calm headedness, but he wasn't lighting up the score board, or throwing for 300 yards. I don't think he has thrown for 300 yards yet!!!
I'm not saying you NEED 300 yards and 3 touchdowns per game, but think about it. If the offense isnt moving down the field and scoring, there is a problem. We rode a wave of stellar special teams and defensive play to that 5-1 start, and took advantage of an easy schedule. Sure Trent had a few nice fourth quarters, but against bad teams we had worn down physically all game.
We out lasted, we didnt win. typical Jauron football.
When is he going to have that one game where we just step on their throats and never look back? Not going to happen with Dick.
I mean, this is ridiculous. The Bills have some talent! And young talent too! The kind of talent you build your franchise on top of and be competitive with for several years in a row!!!
We are a franchise QB and competent HC/ OC away from a nice playoff run.
There are some other pieces we could use upgrades in, but they arent nearly as pressing as the ones mentioned above.
This is so frustrating! FIRE DICK PLEASE I CAN'T TAKE THIS CRAP ANYMORE!!!
You think Edwards is bad? Wait until you see a few weeks of Fitzpatrick, he was one of the worst QB's I had seen in a long time when Palmer went down. Good luck with that.
