Is Trent for sure getting the starting spot back?

If Fitz is still completing 50% of his passes, then after the bye week, yeah. Even with all caps.

You would think so, but they may take their sweet time with that decision under the notion that Edwards shouldnt be rushed to the field.

Fitz has been brutal...Edwards will get his job back.

we're talking about fitz putting up an 11 for 22 passing day and 115 yards plus a TD. if edwards did this these boards would be screaming bloody murder.

most likely jauron will give it back to him. But I doubt he starts next week, probably after the bye week...but probably on a short leash if he doesnt take some more risks and get rid of the ball quicker.

Didnt we learn anything with RJ vs Flutie. We go with the guy who can win.

When was the last time Edwards QB'd back to back road wins?

Fitz looked awful today. Del Homey lost the game today... Fitz did not win it. The job is still Trent's after the bye.

Difference is Trent is the starter and the other is a back up. If you compare those stats to what Trent did vs. the worst defensive team in the league (browns), Fitz did a way better job than Trent. Thats what sucks.

Lee is most likely hoping you're wrong.

It is Trent's job when he comes back. But I tell you what. If Fitz throws for 250 yards and a couple scores next week in a win over a good Houston team. Dick will have alot to think about during the bye week.

If the backup is 3-0 and isn't turning the ball over, while your starter was 1-4 and tossing interceptions like nobody's business, you go with the guy who is winning you games.

But Trent > Fitz. by only so much...

If somehow Fitz has a coming out party against the Texans than of course it makes the choice alot harder.

Too bad we didn't have Fitzpatrick last year.

Yes, it's nice to finally have a legit backup

The OL has really stepped up since we dropped the no-huddle. It would be foolish not to give Trent the start after the bye. It would be even more foolish not to put Fitz's brain in Trent's body but somehow I don't think that will happen. :sadwalk:

Don't try to apply logic. Three-point Trent is the man, and 2-road-wins-in-a-row Fitz sucks. It's not about wins, it's a beauty contest where Trent's dinks and dunks look so much better on the stat sheets.

And just like with Flutie, the team won DESPITE the QB play, not because of it.

Neither QB has really made a case for himself. They've been fortunate to be playing a couple of turnover machines the past two weeks.

And just like with RJ, the QB's extremely poor play (See Edwards) was too much to overcome, whereas, at least Flutie's below average play (See Fitz) gave them a chance.

At least you admit that Flutie was below average. Seems like most people want to put him on a pedestal. I guess that's the only way they can see him.

'98 Flutie was above average. '99 Flutie - not so much.

98 Flutie was a secret surprise you get from a cereal box. 99 Flutie you already knew what you were getting when opened.
