9-7 hopefully still gets Jauron fired. I don't think it'll be enough to get in playoffs. That Pat and Cle game will burn us.

so we do just enough to miss the playoffs while screwing our draft position at the same time. nice.

im sticking with my 5-11 prediction. i had us at 3-4 at this point in my prediction thread at this point. thus far the bills aren't surprising me at all.

I see 9 wins, too 9 wins for our opponents. We'll lose to the Texans and Colts.

9 wins? Not likely. This Bills team will struggle significantly against every team it plays this season.

Texans are going to be a hard team to beat. The Colts are not a team that rests its starters before playoffs, and I expect they will be battling for home field against teams like Pittsburgh, New England and Denver.

Titans are a better team then their record indicates, they are just going through "something" right now. And then on to Jaxsonville.

The Bills just got their 1st two in a row away games since 2004. Don't see it happening a 2nd time.

I see maybe 5-6 wins at best

I like the optimism, but here are my guesses.

1. i think it's hard to assume a DJ led team will win 5 games in a row. So of those first 3 games you have as wins. You are right. they should be wins. But they'll blow at least 1 of them. Perhaps on the road to the titans to give them their first win. That's classic buffalo.

2. I don't see them beating the jets in a dome. Sanchez' issue was with the weather. without that being a hinderance, i think he'll be much more comfortable. though injuries are starting to catch up with them.

3. And while i think you are right, we should beat a resting Indy team, we typically never do. So i don't see that as a win either. I could see that being a flat performance to the likes of last years pats team.

I also think this team is incredibly volatile to predict future results. The last two "wins" were hardly our doing aside from the turnovers. Good teams don't get +6 and +4 in turnovers and scrape by with a win. it simply doesn't exist.

Therefore, i think this houston game is everything. If they actually get a hotpasser like schaub into throwing a few picks and actually game plan well for them defensively, then maybe, we just have the swagger to do what you outlined above.

If they lose another tedious game where they don't do anything offensively, can't get turnovers defensively and end up on the field forever, ala the saints game, then nothing has changed. And teams will just lock in on the formula to beat the bills and Jauron and Co. won't do anything to change it. That will end jauron's tenure here.

So in some ways this houston game is huge.
