Parity...like or dislike?

Personally, I like the parity in the league right now. Any team can win on any given day, which I love. There are a lot of close games and everything is very unpredictable. IMO, the salary cap is great for the league.

I used to hate it when you already knew who would be in the super bowl before the season even started.

I vote for Parity!

I prefer the era of dynasties. Not so much the fact that the same team wins all the time, but I like it when homegrown talent stays in-town. The biggest example I can think of is jersey-buying. With the salary cap era, I don't really want to buy a jersey of any player because chances are they'll be gone from the team within a year or two.
Personally, I don't think winning does much for creating a consistent fan base, only bandwagon fans. Teams in other sports such as the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Maple Leafs, etc. have built solid fan bases by staying in the same locale for years and showing commitment to the area. IMO, having a disastrous (5-11 or worse) season and losing your best players every third year more than offsets the benefits of making the playoffs once every three years.
