    TSN Power Rankings (10/26)

There's a new number one in the TSN.ca NHL Power Rankings, but the lofty position is staying in New York State. The Buffalo Sabres, who have suffered one regulation loss, with backup goaltender Patrick Lalime in goal, have moved into the number one ranking, previously held by the New York Rangers. Though the Sabres are one of just three teams to have played only eight games, their plus-10 goal differential is tied for third in the league, with a Rangers team that has skated in 11 contests. The Sabres have also reached these goals while missing left winger Thomas Vanek for a couple of games and defenceman Toni Lydman for four.
