I never really thought Kelsay was that bad i never understood why people always said he was terrible because he wasnt he was just very average

that's the issue with Kelsay, historically, is that he's very average. it's one thing to have one Mike Lodish on the team and be excited that he's average with studs surrounding him, but its another to have a team full of mike lodish's.

Kelsay is still the same Kelsay. Gets a sack every now and then and a couple nice tackles and that is about it.

Once a team decides to drop back and pass on us he disappears. We just have such low standards these days that a couple sacks here and there are impressive.

What happened to the notion of actually pressuring a QB THROUGHOUT the game and not just on special occasions.

I don't think "embarking" is the proper term you want to use. At the beginning of the year you might have said, Kelsay is embarking on what he hopes is a career year."

But since the season is almost half-over, it would be more appropriate to say, "Kelsay in the midst of a career season."

You just rightly consider stats but it also has to be considered the Byrd's performance in part is because both Kelsay and Schobel are flushing the opposition QB out of the pocket and forcing them to throw early and inaccurately

wait a sec. Kelsey has 3 sacks through 7 games.. that's just about a 6.5 sack season pace.

6.5 is a career year? That's hardly something to brag about.
