... And playoff potential.

When the Bills made that run with Bledsoe in '04, they started out really crappy and built momentum. They built from a totally inept team (especially on offense) to one of the hottest teams in the NFL. They went from scoring 12.8 points per game over the 1st 6 games to scoring 42, 41, 38, 38, 37, 37 & 33 points in 7 of their last 10 games.

Obviously they didn't make the playoffs that year but the point remains... A team we fans had no hope in tunrned it around and "Billieve" was born.

As a fan... The only down side to winning is that Dickless gets to keep his job. That's pretty hard to stomache... But we still have to root our team on regardless.

As for this game... This team has never learned how to take over a game. Dictate their will... Tell the other team what plays they have to run. The best chance for that to happen is to take it to the Texans and don't let up... Return the opening KO for a TD... Then hold Houston to 3 and out... Then score a TD on the next possesion... Then get a turn-over and score another TD.

A 3 score lead after Houstons 1st possesion in the 3rd and the game is ours... That is as long as Dick doesn't bring out his butt plug at that point.

Believe it or not... The Bills almost had the Cowboys on the ropes like this in the '93 SB. Bills leading 13-6 starting the 3rd... Bills driving to go ahead by 2 scores... Thurman fumbles... Boys score (13-13)... Bills driving... Kelly throws INT... Boys score (13-20). If the Bills score on that opening 2nd half drive, Dallas becomes 1 dimensional and we begin to dictate. Instead, we become *****es of the Boys and lose 30-13.

Sometimes it's a very thin line.

It is a very thin line. However, the difference between the 9-7 team a few years ago and this one is that this team has no quarterback, and no offensive line. Yes, the line is young and they may get better, but for right now, they are very weak. So we are weak right in the heart of the the offense, QB and offensive line. Couple that with a defense that is trying very hard but is rampant with injuries, and this is simply not a playoff team, Jauron or no Jauron. Until the defense is relatively healthy for a season and the offense has a strong offensive line and a solid quarterback, this team will continue to suck.

I always have the impression that this team doesn't "want" to "run the score up" on opponents. :(

Fitz is no bledsoe. Bledsoe could play well but always ripped your heart out by making critical mistakes when it's most critical. We don't even have a guy that can play well.

why we even talking about that bills team? All we had to do was get a W against the steelers 2nd string and we would have made the playoffs (last game of the season). Poor showing

You can be Optimistic. The Bills are like 9-1 vs their last ten 4-3 defenses. The only loss was the season opener vs the Pats.

LOL.

Our best season for the better part of a decade ended with us losing to third and second stringers to miss the playoffs.
