Ralph received his ring for being in the HOF today during halftime.

We were up 10-6 at the time and on a 2 game winning streak.

It's all in the timing.

Yeah, Wilson got very lucky the Bills were on a two-game win streak, AND ahead at half-time. Bills fans also have pretty darn short memories - because except for the two win streak this has been an awful season for Buffalo.

That we're bombing for the 10th year straight, whilst our owner receives his hall-of-fame ring during halftime? That's not ironic to you or to anybody who agreed with you?

–adjective
containing or exemplifying irony: an ironic novel; an ironic remark.
ironical
coincidental; unexpected: It was ironic that I was seated next to my ex-husband at the dinner.

Don't see how him getting a Hall of Fame ring at halftime is unexpected or coincidental. There is no coincidence that his teams have been bad for 10 years and he gets a reward for a life time of service in the NFL helping it to get to where it is today.

You don't find it ironic that he was able to miss the boo's by going on to the field with a lead only to get blown out in the second half?

It wasn't a coincidence nor unexpected. We won two games in a row. I sure as hell expected that he would do it during today's game. Especially with us winning at halftime. And I don't see it as a coincidence that we lost after it happened. That is what this team does. Leave their D to pick up the mess and they end up getting tired at the end of the game.

Nothing about the whole thing was unexpected or a coincidence.

no, thats coincidence, not irony.

They are one in the same.

Here is another part of the definition:

an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.

What? You can see he coincidence? But you're blind to the irony?

I need to go back to English class.
