The Bills don’t have a running back on pace for more than 900 yards or a receiver for more than 670. They’re converting less than 37% of their third downs. They’ve been held to less than 10 first downs in consecutive games for the first time since 1971.

Every time I look at the remaining schedule I'm thinking 8-8, not 7-9. :idunno:

Dicks get's an A++ for breaking every crappy franchise record with ease. I actually miss Wades OC when he was the HC here.

Good stuff Pat. I think you've been too generous to the LBs though. They also need to be held responsible for some of the poor run D we have seen at times.

I think the DL has been better than you give them credit for, Pat.

You are nuts. We'll be lucky to win two more games.

well i had the bills in my season prediction thread at 3-5... and i'm 6-2 in actually predicting the winners of the games (flipped the browns and jets games)

I'm still sticking to my preseason prediction of 5-11... that i predicted that record when the schedule came out (last winter) is another thing all together.

That said... I'm seeing about 3 possible wins on the rest of the schedule... so i wouldn't be surprised if we pull out a 6-10 record.

dick jauron = 7-9.

it's going to happen, we're going to fluke our way into enough wins and probably get blown out in the rest of our losses.

and 7-9 is probably the worst finish we could hope for

BTW: about the article. Not bad.. can't argue with most of it. Though the D-line has been better then you give them credit for, and the linebackers have been far worse.

Frankly... the D-line seems to be doing the job against the run and pass for the most part. it's the linebackers blowing their gap assignments and missing tackles and failing to come off their blockers that's killing the run defense right now (I won't even talk about the LBing Corps horrible pass defense... it's simple atrocious, and their blitz timing is embarrassing).

That's not to say that our ends suddenly became stout against the run. They're not that good at all really, but they are far better then they were the last few years. It's the LB corps that's been unforgivably bad.
