For those that didnt see the hit this past Saturday (I saw it live), let me just say that for a minute I was certain Zac Etheridge was full paralyzed and potentially laying there dead on the field. That is how gruesome this hit was and Im astonished that he is up, walking and will play again.

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn safety Zac Etheridge feels blessed to be able to walk after a serious neck injury and expects to play football again.

With his neck immobilized by a brace, Etheridge spoke to reporters and teammates Tuesday, three days after sustaining an injury in the Mississippi game that landed him in the hospital for two nights.

He said his fifth vertebra was cracked and he tore ligaments in his neck in a headfirst collision with teammate Antonio Coleman.

Etheridge is a very good SS prospect in my eyes and him playing again will be good for Auburn and if he comes back 100% he is a potential mid-Round pick.

Here are his numbers.

07-65 tackles, 1.5 TFL, .5 Sacks, 5 PD, 2 FF, 2 QBH
08-76 Tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 INT, 3 PD, 1 QBH
09-52 Tackles, 3.5 TFL, 1 PD, 2 FF, 1 QBH

Im sure there is somewhere, I just didnt want to post it.

Honestly if I never see it again Id be ok, the video is a little sickening.

It was his game v. Ole Miss on 10/31.
