One of our moles in the Miami area has informed us that former Dolphin DT Jeramine Haley, who jumped to the Redskins this offseason via restricted free agency, was supposedly arrested recently for a DUI-like violation while back in the Miami area. Per the source, some of Haley's former teammates were with him at the time he attempted to drive and urged him not to do so. Shortly after ignoring the pleas of his former mates, 5-0 came in and lowered the boom on one of Little Danny's newest toys.
We also hear -- but so far have not been able to confirm -- that if the charge of DUI is true, this is Haley's second offense under the NFL policy against such conduct --- which could result in Haley being suspended the first 4 games of the 2003 NFL regular season.
