Would you want Bob Sanders?

Seriously.

I love the guy. He's definitely awesome when he's healthy, and we'd all take a healthy Bob Sanders in a heartbeat....

But that's the problem.

Dude is NEVER healthy.

(In case you missed it he has a torn Biceps tendon and is headed to IR yet again)

So He's been in the league for 6 years.

He's NEVER played 16 games. He played 15 once and 14 once. the other 4 years were: 6, 4, 6 and now 2.

So he's played a total of 47 games of a possible 96, or just over half.


Would you want that guy, or would you rather not be teased by his ability only to never have him on the field?

DO you think Indy would cut ties with him if they could now? He makes a lot fo money... but he's a difference maker to their D when he IS there. He played a huge role in that Super Bowl.



Something to think about other than how to photoshop pictures of Dick molesting farm animals to send to Ralph to get him fired. (has anyone tried this? I mean Ralph is 200 years old... no way he knows photoshop pics are fakes... they did it with Miyagi)

They'd have to cut him. And if that is the case I'd love to have Bob Sanders and Byrd combo. And have Whitner for depth encase Bob is hurt. Bob is the perfect cover 2 safety

If he was healthy, absolutely, but otherwise not really. His style of play is great but that style also leads him to injury all the time.

Wow, Bob Sanders is out for the rest of the year, being put on IR earlier today.

I was shocked when I found this out.

I thin the Colts will cut or trade him next year, as they are probably sick of dealing with this dude.

When do you stop making excuses? The first time you are like "Oh well, not a big deal, he plays hard", then the next time you are like "Well he throws himself around, you're bound to get injured", and then the third time you're like "Well that sucks he's injured again, but with his style it happens, and as long as he's good for the playoffs we're good.", and then the next time...the next time...

I think this is the straw...The Colts play pretty damn good without the guy, and he is more of a name than anything now.

Shame...I love to watch him play, but he will never again be mentioned in the elite safety club again.

Sanders would cost a lot more than Welding. if buffalo is going to be cheap and only sign one high price FA, I prefer a LB and LT.

I wonder if Whitner could play some CB if we did land Sanders? That would be an interesting secondary, an expensive one, but an interesting one.
