The next time your start *****ing and whining about the 45 minute personnel meeting you have in the office, consider the plight that the NFL player personnel officials and scouts had at the National scouting service meeting recently held in Florida (yea talking football, golfing and watching chicks in thongs is a real *****). National scouting, which is used by about one half of the NFL clubs for initial scouting reports on college players, presented over a 4 day period reports on approximately 800 players in regard to the 2004 Draft. Sessions went from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with each regional National scout getting up in front of all the NFL guys and going over not only potential 1st round picks but also so-so free agent types ("... and this guy from Rowan College ran a 4.85 and his trainer said . . ."). As one personnel guy told us: "Yeah . . . it's boring as hell . . . but it's your job and considering that at this thing several years ago (former 1st Round pick) David Carr was only projected to be a 5th Rounder you better listen or you'll end up being one of the guys who comes down here looking for a job."

- All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
