Bruener To Boo-hoo Not For Long

Several NFL front office sources have told us today that if the Steelers go thru with the soon to be expected release of starting TE Mark Bruener (which Profootballtalk first reported about 2 months before all the other major sports sites picked the story up) after June 1, The Injured One will not be out of a job for long. Assuming he passes the team physical, we hear that Steeler division rival Cleveland and the Jacksonville Jaguars will both be interested in Bruener's services. The Jags situation is an interesting one in that the team has indicated that incumbent TE Kyle Brady will stay with the club despite recent rumblings that his release was imminent. Look for the Jags to go ahead and release Brady if they are able to land Bruener.
