The Bills have a lot invested in Hardy, including the high draft selection last year. They are eager to find out what they have in the former Indiana University star, as his rookie season last year is hardly enough to evaluate his future.
With Josh Reed and Terrell Owens both scheduled to become free agents after the year, the Bills will get him as much work as he can handle, which will help them evaluate what they’ll do at the position over the winter. Hardy caught 9 passes for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns last year before tearing up his right knee.

To make room for Hardy the team will have to cut a player from the roster. Here are the four prime candidates to get their pink slip.

It should definitely be Roscoe Parrish. I just hope the Pats don't pick him up and turn him into a star.

It's gotta be Todd Johnson.

Tough call they only have about 45 people to choose from.

Todd. You dont carry 6 Safeties.

We already have Byrd and Wilson... Scott and Whitner returning. Wendling also. Would make zero sense to keep Johnson.

I'd cut Parrish, but Johnson could easily be the one to go.

Todd Johnson or justin Jenkins
RW is too cheap to cut Roscoe and eat guranteed money

We carry 7 WR and 2 on the PS yet we have depth issues on OLine, LB, TE and we dont ahve a FB on the roster who is healthy LOL comical

I think it has to Johnson as well, though Parrish is now useless.

Johnson's saving grace could be that the BIlls ALWAYS have a safety injured and they may not want to sign a new one after it happens again

If Johnson (Todd) is cut, you can always bring him back in a few weeks if someone's injured. But, with the depth (remember that Harris can bounce to S or LB as well as Scott) at that position, he's "more useless" than Roscoe. And to be honest, I'm sure that Brandon and co can see the writing on the wall and will not allow Jauron to cut a guy the next HC may want to utilize.

There's no way it's Justin Jenkins. He's been a great player on our special teams all season long.

It's gotta be Todd Johnson. It's the only logical choice... Being overstocked at both S and WR, it comes down to who would add the most value to the team... Especially after half of Roscoe's salary and all of his bonuses have been paid out already.

Bottom line... Todd Johnson is a 7 year player... I'm not sure if that qualifies him for vet minimum or not... If it does, it's a wash as far as salaries go. Either way, it's a fairly trivial difference.

Until this year, Whitner was never really hurt.

When is the deadline to activate Hardy to the 53-man roster? I think it's weird that they always wait until the last minute. Either they know or not whether he is ready.

I am guessing they wait because he was not ready to play until this week and if he were to get injured in practice they would have wasted a rosted move. Slim chance for sure, but still possible.

Not to be completely pessimistic here but is Hardy going to even do anything when he gets on the field?

I already see him as yet another bust especially watching all of the WRs that we could have drafted....playing.
