Starts Sunday. We are pretty much out of playoff contention. Owens is hurt. Reed is a beast in the slot.

We used a second round pick on this kid and he has been too hurt to show us what he's got.

I hope he plays and I really hope Edwards takes advantage of his size, and the fact that we are playing against an atrocious pass defense.

Why does everyone love Josh Reed in the slot. He has done next to nothing since he's been here. If he leaves would anyone actually miss him ?

are you kidding??? Reed is one of the best possession receivers in the game. he has great hand when the ball is catch-able and he gets the first down.

sorry, guess I should have said "at what he does". he goes over the middle and takes the hits to get the first down. problem is, he doesn't get the ball as much as he should.... just like the rest of our receivers.

Josh Reed has averaged almost 50 catches per season... AS THE 3RD WR!

He actually averages about 10 catches more per season than Bebee did.

He's not flashy, he just gets the job done. People don't realize how important he is.

Over seven years he has avg. approx. 40 catches for 12 yds. per, per year. Or 2.5 catches for 25yds per game. and he probably won't even reach those numbers this year. Nothing irreplaceable. Add in the fact he cant take it the distance, command double teams, or is considered a threat to the defense.

I guess I see those two catches a game replaceable. Personally I would rather see S. Johnson and Hardy get a chance.

No one has mentioned the best attribute to Reed's game yet: blocking. He's one of the better blocking WRs in the game. Last year when he got hurt, our O went into the tank, we couldn't run the ball as effectively. He's never going to be a star. He's a poor man's Hines Ward. The guy definitely is a valued part of this offense and this team.
