All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
Ugh... please don't try to sugar-coat Gov. Paterson's bull**** money grab. He'd rather do some gimmick bull**** like this than actually steer the state towards financial sustainability.

the plates are very sabres like. a return to old colors and a bizzare little arch in the design.
regardless of your politics, leave it to morons that run NYS to raise money by doing something that hardly affects NYC residents. I don't have a car, most of my friends don't have a car in the city. So they left a huge chunk of 8mm people out of the picture. Nicely done.

That's why they also added the water bottle deposit...to hit you New Yorkers who don't drink water from the faucet.
i rarely use bottled water. i drink off the fridge door waater, use the filtered water at work, and drink tap at restaurants.
i guess the truth is there are a lot of states who've been given federal money to make ends meet. now the fed shut the door on that because thye have other concerns.
poor america, now we have to actually pay for the things we want. and most people have no idea how much we've spent.
Looks like they scrapped it, thank god. I still liked those plates from the 90's the best (before the current ones)
State backs off on plan for new license plates
ALBANY — Forget forking over $25 for those hip, retro-colored new license plates next spring.
State leaders threw in the towel tonight on a provision they all agreed to last April requiring all drivers to get new license plates as part of a revenue-raising plan for the deficit-riddled state budget.
After a week of signaling a possible retreat, Gov. David Paterson said he's happy to back away from the new plates. Some Senate Democrats — following protest howls last April by Senate Republicans — had recently begun complaining, too, about the initiative that they, too, voted for last April.
