ParanoidAndroid

Mike Holmgren
Bill Cowher
Jon Gruden
Brian Billick
Mike Shannahan
Bobby April
Dick Jauron
Other (explain in post please)

Who is it? Why? Why do you disagree with one or more of the popular choices?

Wilson makes the big move before he calls it quits. Not only am I hopeful, but Cowher makes the most sense.

Holmgren is a close second. He has shown he can handle GM and HC duties and make a team a perennial contender.

I voted Billick. He is a cheaper option on the list of proven candidates.

Bill Cowher is too expensive and he is holding out for the Carolina job.

ParanoidAndroid

That seems to be the case, but Carolina doesn't have a whole lot of cash to throw around either.

They have more than Ralph is willing to let go of. :idunno:

This schedule is shaping up for another 3-4 wins for the Bills this year, possibly ending up at 7-9 or 6-10.

If so, that's good enough for Ralph and Dick will be the head coach here in 2010.

Sorry.

Jim Harbaugh would be excellent as well.

Bobby April or Fewell, what will happen is the bills will dither about firing DJ until middle march, then when they fire him all the other good HCs will be signed already and we'll just promote Fewell or April.

He may be the new coach at Michigan....

Although, Dick won't get fired.

Grimm. Experienced assistant, tough, and relatively cheap.

He's getting fired. Ralph is about money and keeping Dick will cost him more of it than just eating his contract will.

I agree. I think we'll see the biggest percentage drop in season ticket sales in Bills' history if Jauron stays on. I know I won't renew if something isn't done.

I can't believe all the Gruden votes did any of you see what Gruden did in TAMPA???? Probably not, most of you like him because he is on ESPN now..... He pushed all his top players out and the players hated playing for him and I know that 1st hand.... I hope he learned being out this year..
I voted HOLMGREN I think he would be a great fit in Buffalo...

Disagree completely.

People have said this now for the past 2 seasons...what's happened?

A whole lot of nothing.

Why?

The real driving force behind getting butts in the seats?

Ralphie flashing the threat that the Bills won't be in Buffalo much longer.

We are going to hire a college coach imo.

Ferentz
Harbaugh
Kevin Sumlin (Houston)
Jyle Whittingham (Utah)
Gary Patterson (TCU)

I would love Gary Patterson to come here. He turned TCU into a BCS contender and puts together a winner every year. He has to compete against Texas, Texas AM, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., and several other big time schools to compete for talent but still fields a ranked team consistently.

Pass on any college coaches...they don't transfer well over to the NFL. I believe that if Jauron is fired, the Bills will bring in a proven winning HC, for the simple fact that if they didn't, the fans might burn the Ralph down!

Russ Grimm would be amazing. But I really dont think he is ready to leave Arizona.

Cowher would be ideal, but unrealistic as a fan of this organization to ever get my hopes up.

I think it would be Gruden. He coaches the 4-3 defense. He has the right type of personnel to run his west coast offense, and he has youth without any mouthy veterans. I think its probably the only fit where immediate improvement is seen.
