In case anyone wants to know why this happened now-

Ralph's accountant calculated using his "Bills suckometer" software pprogram that increasing fan resentment at Jauron made the decision to fire him now a net savings $439,721.87 in projected lost revenue from ticket renewals and merchandise vs waiting until season's end to do it.

If on the other hand the "suckometer" had instead shown that retaining Jauron would not have hurt revenues Wilson would have offered Jauron an extension. Here's the results of an exclusive fantasyland interview with the true genius behind the Bills success, Ralph Wilson.

"My gut instinct was to keep him on. The fact is he's only on the 4th year of his 12 year rebuilding plan but these stupid fans have no ****ing patience. I'm 110 years old. As long as the Bills win it all before I turn 123 I'm fine with it. But that damned "suckometer" forced my hand and I had to blindside poor Dick".

So there you have it Zoners.

I was excited after they canned Greg Williams.

Then we got Mularkey.

I was excited when they canned Mularkey

Then we got Mauron.

I'm not optimistic for some reason.

Yeah, we've been waiting 10 years, since Wade Phillips left, for that.

I'd be all for getting rid of Jauron IF there was a competent head coach with a winning record waiting in the wings to come in and take over.

HOWEVER

Knowing that this is Ralph Wilson calling the shots (again!), and that he doesn't have a track record of good football decisions during the last decade,(actually, downright AWFUL decisions that he's made, like firing the superb Bill Polian, and then John Butler) what do you wanna bet that he doesn't even have a replacement in the wings for Jauron?

This will probably go down as yet another inept, oddball "old man" type decision made by an aging, out of touch owner.

This should have been done in January - why waste an ENTIRE SEASON on this crap? Firiing Turk Shonert was bizarre enough with 1 week to go before the start of the season - but with only 7 games left? Another head shaker! And let's not even discuss why 6 million dollars was wasted in retaining this bonehead of a coach LAST YEAR!!!

Yep, I was right. Wilson didn't have a better coach than Jauron available. He's just throwing a bone to the fans by sacking Jauron in order to keep the seats filled.

I haven't exactly seen any brilliance from Fewell - and all his skill is defensive. It's the offense that's the problem on this team - it's the offense that needs serious repair.

This is just another promote an incompetent (cheaply) from within move for Wilson. He probably figured he'd already paid for Jauron, and he can offer Fewell a few extra hundred thousand to take over - so it's only going to cost him a few hundred k to make the switch and silence the fan base until the season ends.

 i'm still in disbelief. it's kind of like winning the lottery. yeah that's right i'm likening jauron's firing to winning the lottery. that's how good it feels. this move was :brilliant:
