"At this moment, right now Randy Lerner is meeting with one of the great football minds in this country," Brown told a group at a charity lunch in Cleveland, via theCleveland Plain-Dealer. "And if things work out, that person will come in to run the football side of the Browns."

Asked if he Lerner was meeting with ex-Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren, who has been linked to the team, Brown was coy.

"You said it ... and I heard it," Brown said.

I just posted that.

One benefit from this early move is that we have pick of the litter without the competition... maybe that's not totally true.

Hes one guy, but hes a great prospect for us.

It doesn't say hes signed, so maybe part of our move was to get in the mix.

This may be the reason the Bills made the move today. If they really like Holmgren, they need to start conversations with him about this opportunity.

the bills have much more upside than the browns. the browns don't have very much talent to be harnessed.
