Cowher will return to the NFL someday.

When Fox is axed in Carolina.

Sal said that he talked to the Cowher camp and it didn't seem like a possibility...

I guess because he went to NC State and likes the area.

Give me Cowher, Holmgren, Shannahan or death.

I like Billick and Schottenheimer, but obviously Holmgren, Cowher and Shannahan are first choices. I've always wanted Cowher, I've just accepted that it may not be a possibility... :sadwalk:

he quit coaching to spend more time with family...not out of loss of love of the game. so if he can do both, i think he'd do it. to go back to being away from his family, i think he'd have to be thrown a lot of money.

Truth though, is carolina is is getting better. it might save fox's job. if that's the case, if cowher wants in, he's going to hvae to take a different job. so let's not rule anything out, regardless of how remote it may seem.

The way Carolina has been playing the past few weeks, I don't see Fox getting fired. If they win this week, which they should, they'll be 5-5, and very much in the playoff hunt.

Ahh yes I forgot an experienced coach guarantees victories and an unexperienced one guarantees losing...wait a second...

Nah, no flaw in that logic at all.

There is flaw in the logic for sure, but after a solid decade of losing, people want someone who has won in this league before.

Taking a coordinator or even worse a college HC is such a crapshoot. The franchise can't afford to take that chance again right now.

Yes they can, they can do whatever they please. Bringing in a big name coach changes nothing right now.

I prefer and am a big fan of starting fresh completely. New FO, new coaching staff, new roster. I want to follow the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins type system of re-doing their teams.

Young, passionate FO and coaching staffs, and smart personnel decisions.

If the Bills hire someone like Bill Parcells to work in the FO, then I'm all for starting completely fresh like the Dolphins did.

We dont need a Parcells and frankly I dont think the Dolphins do either. Ireland is a very smart guy.

The Dolphins "fresh" start last year equated to adding 10 wins.

If we could add 5 wins next year at this point, it would be awesome.

Cowher will not give up a cushy stress free job to make less money to rebuild a team.

No way in hell that happens.

Ferentz was the O-line coach of the Browns and then Ravens from 93-98

Career record of 79-53 at Iowa and 4-3 in bowl games.

2 Big Ten championships.

Was the first guy rumored to be Cowhers' replacement in Pittsburgh.
