For the record, I only looked at the Bills' pick and I was sold. I don't care who else you have going where.

You may have to eat your coat.
Have you ever watched BERRY play?
The guy is a stud and right now I know it won't happen but he should be the heisman trophy winner IMO......
Real deal and the next ED REED......

Doesn't matter, Eric Berry will not go #1 overall. Nor do I have him as my top overall player.

With the way you have this mock falling, I'd opt for DT Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma, too! Before Marcus Stroud is applying for social security, I would team him with a total stud, and that's McCoy. He will be Tommie Harris cubbed. He will make everyone on this 2010 defense better by being a Buffalo Bills DT next year. Strength up the middle is a neccesity in today's NFL.

2.) DETROIT - Ndamukong Suh, DT
3.) ST. LOUIS - Russell Okung, OT
4.) CLEVELAND - Jake Locker, QB
5.) KANSAS CITY - Terrence Cody, NT
6.) OAKLAND - Gerrard McCoy, DT
7.) WASHINGTON - Jimmy Clausen, QB
8.) BUFFALO - Sam Bradford, QB
9.) SEATTLE - Jahvid Best, RB
10.) TENNESSEE - Brandon LaFell, WR

Additional Bills picks:
Round 2 - Golden Tate, WR
Round 3 - Kyle Calloway, OT

Notes:

-Cody is a prospect whose stock intrigues me, he could go in the 2nd like Jenkins and Rogers have in the past, both similar prospects, however there seems to be an emphasis on NTs in the top 10 lately and Cody is the best one.

-Most mocks don't have a running back in the top 10, but I think that shall change. I think Best is a better runner than Lynch, thus he should go higher, I also like Spiller too but couldn't fit him in.

The most desperate need is Left Tackle.

Arguments can be made for QB, DT and LB.

However whoever we draft at QB will be a bust unless we draft an elite bodyguard. We cannot risk Bell or whoever else protect him. Left Tackles rarely hit the market as a top calibre guy is so hard to find. We could try to trade for one, but that is remarkably rare.

Depending who becomes our DC, McCoy might not even fit the system. There are some young DT FAs available like Gabe Watson would we could have learn behind Stroud to become a NT in a 3-4, there are some DT/DE like Arthur Jones and Jared Odrick who might be around come R2 or R3, whilst LBs like Sean Lee will also be around on Day2.

But a starting LT? Any lower than R1 and we are struggling.

Only Okung in the Top10? The way OTs fly off the board, I would be very surprised if Bruce Campbell and Bryan Bulaga don't go in the Top10 - Detroit, Kansas City, Washington, BUFFALO and Seattle all need a LT and really only McNeill is available in free agency

I know, but good QBs never hit the market, Brees is the exception to the rule. If Tate is available in the 2nd, I think we have to take him, the value is too good. As a Notre Dame fan, Tate is much better than his teammate Michael Floyd who is projected as a top 5 pick in 2011. Tate is a tremendous player, despite his size, he is a guy who moves the chains and has strong hands. I do agree with you, Calloway probably isn't the best guy to put in at left tackle, but I'd take my chances, maybe we could fill the need in some other way.

Personally I think we will overpay if we go QB this year. Picking up a young vet like Boller or Carr, having a look at Brohm, seeing if Edwards can resurrect his career with proper protection is the way to go ... which means our first round pick must be

Left Tackle - either Russell Okung or Bruce Campbell, or maybe Bryan Bulaga

I appreciate what you say about Tate but I think the WR Corps are the least of our worries and a guy like Nathan Roosevelt could be picked up in R4 or lower - we will have Evans, Hardy, probably Johnson and I have a sneaky suspision Reed will be resigned as he does a lot of good things fans don't readily notice. Our second round pick should be

3-4 Defensive End - either Jared Odrick or Arthur Jones

Moving into the third and if we switch defensive schemes I think we will take a very long look at someone like Sean Lee - a LBcorps of Maybin/Poz/Lee/Schobel should do enough to scare people.

The crucial thing will be if we move Lynch, draft a replacement like James Starks to team with Jackson and maybe use the low R1 pick to address issues such as OLB depth etc.

A DL of Rookie-Stroud-Sp Johnson, plus depth from Denney and Day2 picks might produce a turnaround in our fortunes.

If Tate was 3inches taller I'd certainly take a long look at him

Are you guys watching the Mississippi vs LSU game??? See what I've been saying about this McCluster kid? He is a player, he is not Roscoe Parrish, way too physical for that. I think I like him in the 3rd, his stock is skyrocketing in my humble analysis. Electrifying prospect, really, really like him.

1 thing you need to know he is a Percy Harvin type player and where did he get drafted?
He will be gone in the 2nd round now. Little small but very tough kid..

I will agree now, I really think Brohm may be that guy we have been looking for so I say we go line now being OL or DL..

And NO im not saying Brohm is the savior at all....

Yup, he is worthy of a 2nd round grade, imo but I could see him going in the 3rd more likely. He reminds me of Steve Slaton more than Roscoe or Percy.

This draft is deep at OT and actually LT.

Theres decent looking prospects into the 3rd, 4th, maybe even 5th round.

This is a weak draft at OLB, and QB (franchise type)

I also think its a decent DT draft with guys into the 3rd that can play.

I already addressed McCluster two weeks ago in DB's positional thread. I was told there are nine wr's ahead of him. Which is bs to anyone who actually watches this kid play. He will be a 3rd down type player in the nfl and will play rb, and slot wr. He will play in the NFL.

McCluster is 5ft9 and 170lbs according to the Ole Miss website. He'll need to bulk up substantially to go before the 3rd.

Percy Harvin is 5ft11 and 195lbs in comparison.

We need an LT and I am sick of us shopping in the dollar bucket for him, people like Jennings and Bell. We cannot expect lightning to strike twice.

In 2008, seven OTs went in R1 alone which shows the importance the position is acquiring.

Of the anticipated crop, the following are considered to have the feet and pass protection ability to play LT

1. Russell Okung
2. Bruce Campbell*
3. Bryan Bulaga
4. Charles Brown
5. Jason Fox
6. Ciron Black
7. Gabe Carimi*
8. Sam Young
9. Selvish Capers.
10. Mike Tepper

The others are being looked as RT material only

I wouldn't trust the health of my QB to anyone outside the Top3.

Its funny how things pan out.
The mock I did last week I would change today in 2 seconds.
Its funny how things change in the NFL and College football.....
McCluster will have to bulk up and so did Harvin which he did....
I will say he is the 1 player FLORIDA misses most is Percy.
