count the ways to replace kelly

    1. Plan ahead and draft a QB to be groomed under kelly's on field tutelage (Todd Collins)
    2. Make a trade...give away a first rounder to a guy who shows promise after 1 start (Rob johnson)
    3. Go to the CFL and poach a player with a decent contract and a chance to play (Doug Flutie)
    4. Make a trade....give away a first rounder for a guy who has shown promise after several starts (Drew Bledsoe)
    5. Pick in the First round and Make a trade...give away several picks for a guy who has a big arm and is athletic (JP Losman)
    6. Pick in the third round with no deals (Edwards

    The Latest
    7. Pick up a practice squader (B. Brohm)
    8. Take a first round QB with no trades (player to be determined this april)

There aren't too many more ways we can try this now. Something has to work.

Build a proper line first by signing/drafting an elite LT, getting the line playing well, and then drafting a QB if the two prospects under contract continue to fail.

build a line via draft/FA over the next two off-seasons. We may already have a good start. In the meantime, grab the best experienced QB via FA or trade so when we have our line, we don't have to worry about developing a QB. Sometime in the next 2 to 3 off-seasons, a decent QB will have to become available.

I think if we flipped Wood and Hangartner we are 4/5 players there with a line of Levitre-Wood-Hangartner-Butler with Bell, Meredith and Scott bringing depth. The missing piece is the elite LT
