Vic says that never happened.

Vic says that the Bills and Shanahan did have contact, and were going to meet next week. Also, Shanahan was excited about the possibility of the Buffalo job for a few reasons.

Next, the AP is reporting that Ralph "doesnt know anything" about Shanahan and the Bills will address the rumors later today.

I don't understand why the FO needs to trumpet their intentions to the media. Business deals are best kept under wraps until completed or very close to it, unless you are seeking leverage, this is not one of those cases.

The Bills "try" to be cute with the media and not comment on anything that could potentially be big until it's done. Remember Michael Vick? "Oh, we're not interested, let's just make that clear". Well, they were according to Tony Dungy, who was in Rochester at Bills training camp the day the Bills denied they were interested.

The Bills B.S. people. If Schefter and Carucci said the Bills are meeting with Shanahan, then they will be meeting with Shanahan.

I don't really blame them. The Bills are not the most desirable franchise to work for in the NFL. They know Washington and others will throw unlimited cash at someone like Shanahan or Cowher. Might as well not make a media circus out of the whole thing and try to be as low profile as you can until you know if you have serious mutual interest or not.
