Just heard a quote from Fitzpatrick on WGR that I never heard Edwards even come close to saying...

"It's my job and I'm going to take it!".....

At least this crappy QB has desire and passion...

not to defend Edwards, but sometimes a player's mentality is a product of the coaching he receives....

I disagree. There were serious problems well before the concussion. He struggled against the weakest teams in the league.
Yes we won, and he played well in the 4th quarter, -but he looked terrible the majority of the time against Seattle, St. Louis, Oakland, etc...

Even if he didnt get knocked out by Wilson in that game, I dont think Edwards would have looked much better against the stronger teams we played (and lost) against later in the season.

Fitzpatrick sucks alot worse than Edwards.

Edwards is sitting because the season is done and Raklph doesn't want to pay him extra money for being the starter. That simple.

Fitzpattrick gets paid the same money as the backup of the starter. End of story.

Disagree completely.

A player has to want it for himself, if he can't muster up the cajones to do it himself no one is going to do it for him.

Just like in life. Anything you do you have to want for yourself.

That's like saying JMarc sucks because he isn't being pushed enough.

coaching has a lot to do with it. Look at the Cutler/ orton situation. Cutler is becoming a product of the mess in chicago while orton has played extremely well in denver. while I am sure there are some other factors, the quality of coaching and the attitude of the leadership plays a large role.

But, I will say he was really well spoken, and believable.
