coincidentally enough, mere seconds after he walked off the practice field with Mike Shanahan, whom the Bills are interested in hiring as their next head coach.

Hey, the article did mention Shanahan and Brohm in it. That's some kind of connection.

Brohm ends in an M.

Shanahan ends in an N.

N comes right after M in the alphabet.

NAILED!

I think posters are trying to tell you that the article sounds more like it's saying Belichick walked off the field with Shanahan.

The move reminded me of a conversation I had with Bill Belichick at New England Patriots (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nwe) camp -- coincidentally enough, mere seconds after he walked off the practice field with Mike Shanahan, whom the Bills are interested in hiring as their next head coach.

You know who else has connections to Shanahan?

The Dallas Cowboys are financially vested in quarterback Tony Romo. Last year he signed a six-year, $67.5 million contract with almost half of it guaranteed. He'll be wearing the helmet with a star for six years, and you can take that to the bank.

But before he ever signed that lucrative deal, he was courted by one of the better coaches in the NFL. His name was Mike Shanahan, and he led the Denver Broncos to two Super Bowls. He took two unknown running backs and made them stars. He's the guy who finally helped the aging John Elway reach the ultimate goal in football -- twice.

Shanahan tried to sign Romo to double the contract the Cowboys offered the free agent quarterback in 2003. Both alumni of Eastern Illinois, Shanahan wanted to give the kid a chance. But Romo chose to wear the silver and blue.

And there's another team that's going to be looking for a HC this off-season. So it will come down to Dallas (Wade's contract is up after this season), Washington, Buffalo, Carolina (Cowher), Tennessee (?), Oakland (no way he's going back there), Jacksonville (?), Cleveland (probably Holmgren). So there's going to be some competition for Shanahan this season, hopefully Ralph can outbid a few teams and make some magic happen.
