Gone are the days when 18,690 was a given downtown for a Friday night game against anybody, let alone a longtime rival and the defending division champ. After all, the Bruins were in town, not the Blue Jackets, yet blocks of seats remained vacant in the 300 level for a silver game.

It's hardly a sign of doom, but a few years ago fans would have lined up for any ticket. People have become more judicious with their buck and more skeptical about their team. Perhaps you can blame a slow economy or the Bills or the time of year with Thanksgiving around the corner and Christmas five weeks away.

Or perhaps it says something about the Sabres.

Yeah, I don't really buy it being a reflection of the team, especially with their record thus far. Attendance is down in all sports across the board. You know Bucky though, gotta get his digs in whenever possible.

It's not just the economy. It's also the team. I'm far from sold on this team yet. He was right on with this statement It's hard to figure out this team, really. Right when it appears they're ready to make a surge, they take a step back.

I think it is the team as well as the economy. I've gone to 2 games this year.. still skeptic because of last years great start. When I'm sold I'll probably go ever other home game. It is sad we cant sell 4,000 individual tickets.
