To be fair, I tried to go and delete the thread I started, I dont have that option.

what was the point of contacting him now if they're bringing in shanahan this week? why wouldn't they have contacted him afterwards?

I think Mike should also know that we have more options that just him.

Leverage, due diligence, common sense.

In other words...he'll only consider Buffalo if no other teams offer him a spot. Ralph is going to have a hard time bringing in a big name. Just look at what the guys said on Fox yesterday. Our franchise is run by an owner nobody wants to work for. THAT will be Ralph's legacy.

I agree that it means he doesn't want to come to Buffalo, but I dont think Buffalo is a place that nobody wants to work for.

Buffalo is an NFL Franchise, strong/committed fans and a team with some talent.

I don't see Ralph as an owner that coaches wouldn't want to play for at all. Snyder, Davis, etc. on the other hand...

Everybody needs to settle down.

Nothing is going to happen until the season is finished.

What seems damaging is that Cowher was told that the salary would be in the $10MM range and he still balked at it.
