With that Achilles injury, is that why all these teams strayed away from him?
He was on the Steelers O-line when they won the SB in '05, you think he would be highly sought after. I also read he was signed by the Pats before this season to a 3 year deal, but then they cut him. Is he just not effective after the injury or what?Comment

He should be able to step right in and start in Wood's place. He has to be better than any other guard on the roster.Comment

The Bills are in desperation mode regarding the O-line. I think at one time the Bills opted not to pursue Simmons because they were determined to have the biggest, fattest line in the league and Simmons didn't fit that mold. That didn't sork out so well. The only problem with Simmons would be any lingering health and mobility issues with his achilles. This is probably the best signing we could hope for at this point in the season.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
