BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- A person familiar with the Buffalo Bills (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/bills) coaching search says two-time Super Bowl-winner Mike Shanahan is considered a legitimate candidate to take over the job. The Bills have contacted Shanahan, the person familiar with the search told The Associated Press on Tuesday on condition of anonymity because the team is not commenting during its search process.

Do you think media reports and folks in the media who laugh at the notion of Shannahan coming to Buffalo influence Shannahan's decision to come here.

I'm thinking the guy was seriously interested and might second guess himself when all these know it alls say how bad Buffalo is. When in fact the Bills are a good coach away, from being a contender.

Shannahan could come in here get his own Qb, make his own personel decisions and not have Jerry Jones, or Synder looking over his shoulder and questioning every move.

Ive been on top of every single piece written on this since Jauron was fired trying to gleen anything.

The next piece we need confirmation on is when he is actually meeting with the Bills. Id love for any of our young writers to dig and find out something.

If he interviews Today and we don't hear anything this week, hes either not interested or wants to make the decision after the season.

If you find anything at all, keep us up to date.

I know that the draft, FA, and a few other times are big. But, I cant say that any move in the past 16 years would be as big as this one if we land a HC with a real pedigree. Im excited.

I wont be surprised if we don't, but until we hear that for sure, I'm going to be watching this closely.
