hmmmm I wonder if this is true
They are going to try and sell him the bills experience. I wonder how many fans will show up at the stadium tomorrow ready to hand everything over.

7 hours? Wow! I know it's early, but I'm feeling optimistic. Especially when you consider how good Brandon is at selling stuff.
I would seriously make out with Ralph Wilson if he were hired.

<!-- end mod-article-title --> <!-- begin story body --> <!-- template inline -->Former Denver Broncos (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=den) head coach Mike Shanahan met for seven hours in Denver with Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf) chief operating officer Russ Brandon on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Brandon delivered what was said to be a persuasive presentation about why Shanahan should be interested in the Bills. He pitched Shanahan on the merits of the market, the condition of the franchise and what a good match it could be.
The two sides did agree on one point: Each would take its time in this process, making sure it makes the right decision about what's next for each.
"We had an excellent meeting," Shanahan said Wednesday. "I was really impressed with Russ Brandon and everything he had to say. We're going to stay in touch and see what develops."
The Bills want to thoroughly investigate all the coaches that are and could be available, even though they clearly are serious about Shanahan. At the same time, Shanahan would like to see what opportunities could be out there for him to return to the NFL in 2010.
The Bills fired Dick Jauron last week and named defensive coordinator Perry Fewell interim coach.

I doubt it's the Bills wanting to wait. Shannahan will have multiple choices after the season. Why should he jump on the Buffalo job right now.

Nothing new here. Same things being said as in the article posted.

It may be the best offer he gets and offers dry up.

He shouldn't. As a fan, I'm not going to enjoy the wait.
Just firing DJ was a knee jerk desparate action. Who knows what Shanny can weasel out of them.

I am THRILLED that we are going after the big names this aggressively. My one concern is, they are about to sign over the farm while having been pretty tight the last few years... would have been nice to spend an extra $5-8 million a year for the last five when we're about to drop at least double that per year now. Still... if it brings the change we need to become competitive again, all is forgotten.
