ZERO goals on Symeon ****ing Varlamov? Are you kidding me?

This team does not have a single legitimate scorer. The Caps announcers stated that Vanek needs to be a 40 goal guy, and followed it up by saying NO ONE on this team is on pace to score 30, let alone 40.

The Caps didn't even have Ovechkin for the last 17 minutes and we still couldn't win. And those two power plays were simply pathetic.

WTF?

Well, I guess we should be thankful that the Sabres gave us a month or so of good hockey before falling apart again. That's more than the Bills can manage. But this team is going nowhere unless they can pull some offense out of their asses.

lmao- do you watch hockey or just look at selective stats?

The Sabres had a 3 minute major PP with Washington's best player kicked out and managed ZERO shots. On their second PP, they only had 40 SECONDS in Washington's zone. With 10 minutes gone in the 2nd period, they only had 1 shot on goal for the period and only 10 in the game.

Miller is the only reason this game was even close. He should have stopped that that shot by Ovechkin but it doesn't matter because he can't win if the rest of the team doesn't score.

The Sabres came out strong for the first 6 minutes and were thoroughly outplayed for the remaining 54.

His posts aren't even worth responding to...they are so pathetic.

Except over half the Sabres shots were from the wing about 40 feet out with nobody in front of the next hitting the goalie right in the crest...If you call that a scoring chance, then, yes, the game was even.

Even Ruff said it was an even game

Quite honestly, Ruff can kiss my ass.

"...Jason Pominville has four points and has been a minus five over the Sabres last ten, yet has played over twenty minutes a game four times and leads all forwards in ice time, both in total and on the power play..." (http://www.buffalosportsdaily.com/2009/11/sabres-drop-to-8th-in-conference-after-goose-egg-in-washington/)

That speaks volumes.
The fact that the slowest and worst skater on the team, who can't generate scoring chances on his own (unless you count slamming the puck into the opposing goalie's chest shot after shot), is getting the most ice time is just plain inexcusable. Ruff is too close to these players and he plays favorites to the detriment of the team.
