Shanahan was indeed offered part of the team.

Without divulging sources I was able to confirm that Shanahan was definately offered part of the team. I was told that this move is part of a long term plan to help Wilson avoid estate tax issues.

Wilson has been very smart in depreciating players and I do give him credit for doing a good job, personally, of managing the net income of this team to his own benefit.

I have now gone from not believing that Shanahan would ever come here to believing that ownership has to be the best offer that he could possibly get.

No other team is going to offer ownership. PS. I heard it was in the 10% range!!!!!

It sucks that we cant be like Green Bay and have the fans own the team. I like Shanahan but what has he done for us to deserve 10 percent of our team ? Give him money and thats it.

Ralph can avoid estate taxes by leaving the team to his wife. She's much younger and in excellent health. When she dies, ideally by that time the team will have been sold to someone else.

Without going to deep into the fact that this post is solid crap it does bring up a question. Can an owner actually give part of a team as an incentive? Wouldn't this need to be approved by the other owners?

Without divulging confidential sources I have been able to determine that HH is kookoo.

LOL just goofin wid ya HH... But seriuosly in atlanta GA, how do you have a better source than folks plugged into the team at the local level and sports media whos job it is to dig into everything like a mole at a tulip patch?

I hope you are right though and your SOURCE is not drunk on a bar stool somewhere :)
