    Say something nice about Modrak/Guy

Modrak: He got Lee Evans for the Bills in the 2004 draft, and added JP Losman, the Tims (Anderson and Euhus), topped off by Dylan McFarland and Jonathan Smith. Having traded up for Losman, Modrak used the Bills top choice (round 2, pick 55) on Roscoe Parrish in 2005. If you want to get picky, Tom Passed on Haloti Ngata for the 2006 #8 pick, and took Donte Whitner instead. That perhaps might have been a slight mistake. Only time will tell...

John Guy: Consolidated Dick Jauron's conversion of the Bills defense to the Tampa 2 scheme by bringing in Jeff Posey, and together with Modrak's savvy trade into the 2006 1st round for John McCargo, the Bills defense has since been the terror of the AFC East.

John Guy has also brought in Tutan Reyes, Dominick Rhodes, LanstonWalker, Derrick Dockery and a host of other notable Bills performers.

I'm really not sure what this thread is trying to convey here. Either the title is misleading, or you have absolutley no idea how much every single player up there that you named (other than Lee and Donte), absolutley sucke(d).

Nothing is ever black and white. We're all lost in a universe filled with shades of gray. Perhaps Aaron Maybin may become the Dwight Freeney of his time. Perhaps James Hardy may become another Vincent Jackson. Perhaps someday Chris Ellis may not become just another healthy game day scratch.

I don't have the answers, but you do...

Modrak helped TD let Winfield and Williams leave via free agency. what a great move! Our run defense has been stellar ever since! And they only combined for 8 probowls in the 5 years since they left! Overpaid, overpriced, overhyped!

in all seriousness... Winfield should never been allowed to get to FA. They should have extended him a year before (same for big pat)

Pat Williams got low-balled out of town by the same sheets that brought us John McCargo and Jeff Posey. What else needs to be said?

that is true....but an offer may have been extended and he may have balked.
