Anybody think RW's wooing of Shanahan is a ploy to boost sales for the Toronto?

Call me cynical but the timing is ironic...Ads are running everywhere...sales just aren't there. Do you think Ralph canned DJ and is courting Shanny just to promote tickets for the game in Toronto? Then, when that game is done the real search begins.

    Thoughts?

no. ticket sales contribute approximately 0% of the teams revenue.

Wouldnt suprise me, thats why when I hear about all the big name coach "talk" I simply cant get excited. Until one of these big name coach's are actually hired it means nothing IMHO.

As cheap as Ralph is, I can't see that scenario being the motivating factor. One game's revenue will hardly make up for the backlash if Ralph doesn't get somebody in here who can turn this trainwreck around yesterday.

Umm...why would Ralph care what happens in Toronto? The Bills already made their money from it. It's all up to the Rogers family to market the game and make more money.

I think the move deals with him selling a good product in general. Whose going to want to move a ****ty team to Toronto that nobody wants to watch?

No...and you are cynical. To suggest is this is a ploy is ridiculous. You know why? Because if Shanny says "yes" and the Bills suddenly back off, the jig will be up. And don't say "the Bills knew Shannahan would say no" because how many people would say no to a $50M and a piece of an NFL team? I swear...

Huh? Ralph allegedly wooed Shanahan just to get the Toronto game sold out? How does one make the connection there? Do you think Shanahan will be coaching that game in Toronto?

A big name coach won't help till hired. Won't happen till aster the season. Won't help this years game.
