Change among the players has to start with the quarterback. The saying "quarterback is the name of the game" is not just a cliche. The Bills should use as much of the season as possible to find out what they need to know about their new acquisition, Brian Brohm. A few years ago, at the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions, I had breakfast with Paul Hornung, who then was still a Notre Dame broadcaster. The Golden Boy told me about this high school senior in his hometown of Louisville, Ky.
"His name is Brian Brohm and he is so good I told Tyrone Willingham [then the Irish coach] that if he recruited him Brohm would win three Heisman Trophies for Notre Dame."

Brohm should be given an opportunity to play this season once he gets some kind of grasp of the playbook.

how in the heck would we or anyone in the media know if Brohm is ready to play? Throwing him out there when he's not ready would be as stupid as not having a starting caliber QB on the team to begin with.

He's supposed to be an NFL-caliber QB...if he can't understand and execute enough of the playbook in the reasonable amount of time left in this season to see some action in the final 2 or 3 games then he sure as hell isn't going to be much use to us next season either.

Give the kid some pt toward the end of the season...let's see what he's got when the bullets are flying for real.

from the beginning of their time everyone is on their own time schedule for different things in their lives. The guy is green. He was on a practice squad because of this. The only thing that changed via his coming here is our QB position is incompetent. That doesn't make him incompetent or competent though. I understand as a fan you want to see him play but that might not be a good thing so let the coaches decide what to do with him because they see what he's doing in practice.

its going to happen, we benched Edwards because he certainly wasn't the answer and we knew Fitzpatrick isn't more than a somewhat serviceable backup so Brohm's time will come either next week or the week after

he's an Old Fart Licker.

actually, I think we benched TE because PF lacks control and is spineless. TE was struggling and some of the players wanted him out because their stats were hurting. So they are doing what the players want instead of what's best for the team which would be letting TE try and play through it.

lol at Paul Hornung for suggesting Brohm would have won 3 heismans at ND

Edwards was pulled because he sucks. Fitz sucks too, but he takes some risks that moves the offense. Once Brohm learns some of the playbook, he should see the field. But here's the problem, Fewell won't start Brohm. He isn't playing for the future of the Bills, he is playing for his own future in the league.
