All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I saw in the other thread the bills are out, but i didn't see confirmation.
I looked at the standings and see that we can technically overtake the East if we win out and the patriots collapse. So i think we are still in this thing.
All we have to do is at minimum tie the Pats for the AFC East crown,
If We win out we are 9-7 if the Pats lose out they are 7-9, The question is who wins the tie breaker at 8-8 if the Bills beat the Pats the 2nd time around, and if Miami or the Jets stay at 7-9.
Actually anyone can win the AFC East but I seriously doubt the Pats lose 3 or more games
If the Bills win Thursday and then in K.C. in 2 weeks, and the Pats somehow lose to Miami and Carolina, the matchup on Dec 20th will likely be for first place. How crazy is that?
That being said, I have a better chance of growing an arm out of my ass than the above scenario falling into place.

I remember some crazy things needing to happen for the Bills to have a shot at the playoffs in 05.
It all fell into place perfectly. Except for the Bills losing to Steeler 3rd stringers of course.

i've been pretty pesimistic about the season, but all of a sudden the AFC east, usually good for two AFC playoff teams, has a leader that isn't seperating from the pack, and the pack sucks. The dolphins are good if they can get the lead and hold it. But they aren't designed for a quick score. their problem is they've gotten into one too many shootouts in the fourth quarter and couldn't keep up.
The Jets are imploding under a rookie QB who loves turning over the ball and a coach who is more interested in posturing for the fans than gameplanning to win.
The bills struggles are well documented.
And the pats who still have scores "analysts and experts" saying that they are a "favorite" for the superbowl. But they've lost to the teams who most likely will go to the superbowl.
I've been claiming this for years, but finally it might be happening. is the sheen finally coming off this scam of a patriot football team?
so with this mediocrity finally in our division and us right in the middle of the weakness, no time like the present to go on a run and stun some folks. Are the odds totally against us? Of course. they always are.
-Bills must win all 5 games.
-Pats* must lose 3 of 5, including one to Dolphins.
-Phins and Jets must lose at least 2 each.
Bills and Pats are 9-7 but Bills win division record tiebreaker 4-2 vs 3-3. Not only do we make the playoffs, but we are AFC Eats champs and host a home playoff game.
I have not looked at wild-card possibilities, but it's far more complicated and we lack tiebreakers.
