Has there ever been 3 of 4 teams in the AFC and NFC championship games

I realize that usually being dome team makes you a soft team in the playoffs if you have to play on the road.

But it looks like the saints and colts are in position to lock up homefield. And then the Vikings look to be for real and a possible team.

Unless houston shocks the world, there is no chance of 4 dome teams playing for the superbowl. but i thought this was unique. Can anyone remember a similar situation?

The Rams in the 1999 Season (yes, the friggin' Throwback year) were the first dome team to win the Superbowl. Interesting note: they had the opportunity to play in a dome in each of their playoff games leading up to the Superbowl, which was also in a dome.

The Colts were the first to win a Superbowl as a dome team that had to go outside during the playoffs to win. All those games vs. the Pats in the Foxboro weather probably helped the Colts shed some of that weather weakness.
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.
