i had a chance to watch it last night, with my kids, and what a hell of a show they had. seeing all the greats they had from the past made me feel like a kid again. i was glued to the TV and explaining to my kids how great Guy Lafleur was, that Ken Dryden was probably the best goalie in the NHL when i was their age, how fast Yvan Cournoyer was, etc..... i was happy to see Gordie Howe take part while wearing his Red Wings jersey. but the best part of the ceremony, to me, was retiring the numbers of Emile Bouchard and Elmer Lach. to honor these guys who started playing for them NEARLY 70 YEARS AGO was a class act on their part. the excitement of these 90 year old guys was not them jumping for joy and do handstands but you could see it in their eyes.
did anybody else get a chance to see it?
